Youth Baseball Cleats

The body of the shoes is made up of leather but the studs could be plastic, rubber or even metal. Each material is suited for different playing conditions and, of course, what kind of a player your child is. If your child is just beginning, I would suggest that you buy him the ones made up of plastic or rubber. Leave the metal one to the veterans.

Types of Baseball Cleats

Attached Cleats is the kind where the studs are permanently attached to the body of the shoes. Naturally, outside of the baseball playing court, you cannot use this type of shoes. However, they are cheaper so I would recommend this one for beginners.

Removable Cleats allow you to take out the studs and replace it with others. This is more expensive and less durable so I will not recommend this.

Mixed Cleats are usually for wet or muddy surfaces because studs are both plastic and metal. The traction is better that allows the player to run faster on extreme conditions. This may be used for other sports that may be played on the same playing field.

Recommended Brands

Adidas Speed Trap LT Baseball Cleats Mens 10 is now cheaper than it was first released. You can buy this for $50.00. Adidas is really one of the top sports brand so it is not surprising that they are able create a model that is very comfortable to the feet. Other cleats are just painful to wear.

Nike Shox Fuse 2 Metal just came out and is about $100 but it's really comfortable. It claims of a new technology that better supports the sole thereby allowing the player to run faster.
